La Casa Real de la Moneda

Mina Pailaviri
At present, the interior of this great mine can be visited, today of State property. It is divided into 17 levels accesed by an elevator that descends fron three to three meters, and carries us to 240 m of depth, maximum level accessible to the public.
El Cerro Rico
Magnificent hill (Sumaj Orko), that dominates the city as image of the silver wealth of Potosí. For centuries tons of this precious metal was extracted and still is.

Museo de Santa Teresa
Built in 1761, guards a beautiful collection of pictures and religious objects, the nuns dproduce some delicious candies of marzipan, famous and quoted since the colony to our days.
Iglesia de San Francisco
The first church that was built in Potosí, in their interior pictures of the colony are exposed, specially thosefrom the colonial painter Melchor Pérez de Holguín, considered among the three greatest of America.
